01 — 04THE SOURCING JOURNEY

THE BRIEF

Start with what
matters to you.

A useful brief can be exact or exploratory. We can start with a budget and an idea, or evaluate a specific stone you’ve already found.

A

The shape and look

Shape, face-up presence, style, and the setting you have in mind.

B

Your priorities

Carat, colour, clarity, cut, proportions, and which trade-offs feel acceptable.

C

Budget and logistics

Target spend, location, timeline, and where the stone or finished piece may need to go.

A PRACTICAL FOUR-STEP PROCESS

Careful from the first
comparison to the handoff.

01

Listen

We clarify the brief, the decision deadline, and what evidence you want to review.

02

Search

We identify stones that fit the agreed criteria and request current availability and terms.

03

Compare

You receive a considered shortlist with report details and known limitations clearly identified.

04

Coordinate

If you choose to proceed, we confirm the seller, payment, shipping and any jeweller handoff before commitment.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Information first.
Pressure-free decisions.

A diamond report is an important reference, not a substitute for seeing the stone and understanding the purchase terms.

01

Report details

We can check report number, stated grading, proportions and any available report records against the seller’s listing.

02

Visual review

Where available, review high-resolution video and optical images such as ASET or Ideal Scope. Not every seller provides them.

03

Purchase terms

Confirm who invoices you, return and inspection windows, shipping, insurance, tax and duties before payment.

Howwell Diamond currently focuses on natural diamonds and does not offer lab-grown diamonds through this service. Independent sourcing support does not replace an in-person inspection or a qualified independent gemmological opinion. Grading reports describe the stone submitted to the laboratory; they do not guarantee value or future resale.
